I have a 23 yr old truck that I will probably never sell. Still in amazing shape and I like it. I don’t drive it a ton so about 8 yrs ago I started only putting non-ethanol fuel in it. This additive is supposed to help clean fuel admissions in vehicles. Every year when I get emissions done they can’t believe how clean it runs and say it’s the cleanest running car they’ve ever seen. Basically doesn’t put out any harmful emissions. The only explanation is I don’t use fuel with that “green” additive in it. So much for government influence on helping with the environment.

78 years ago today displayed what I believe was the greatest example of courage & patriotism that has ever occurred. Thousands of Allied troops charged heavily fortified enemy lines knowing it could very well be their last day on this earth. They did it to defeat tyranny and evil for their country and mankind. This is what I think of when I hear the national anthem & see our flag.

I’m an extremely proud product of these 2 men. Both served in WWII. One in France & Germany and the other in the Navy fighting some of the worst evil this world has seen. Thankful for their service and countless others. Land of the Free because of the Brave.

You can find rates online, but wouldn’t you rather take a loan officer’s word for it??

You will see crazy low rates advertised online. They are click-bait. To be honest, there is a loan that matches the displayed terms, but the requirements are so strict that maybe 1 in 1,000 will fit into that tiny box. Chances are I have access to the same loan. I just don’t put it out there because I know it isn’t fair to put false ideas into pretty much all my clients heads. Your best move is to call me as I have built my business on service & the trust of my clients. I’ll make sure you get the best deal without all the gimmicks.

Mortgage rates are continuing their downward spiral. The average rate on a 30-year fixed-rate loan has dropped to just 3.82%—down from 4.54% last June and its lowest point in nearly two years. About 6.8 million homeowners could now qualify for a refinance and save around $270 per month

Good news from USDA today. Rural Housing loans have increased their income limits. It isn't a huge amount, but every bit helps. Now a family of up to 4 can earn up to $80,200 per year. With 5 or more in the family the income limit is $105,850. Hopefully this can help out some of the buyers out there.

Great news! FHA has dropped their monthly mortgage insurance by a quarter percent, effective January 27th. That will help out the the increase in interest rates.

Last night was definitely a night of surprises. This morning has been no different. All of the experts were predicting a very different outcome than what unfolded. One of those predictions was the stock market would drop dramatically today with the new President-elect. However, just the opposite has happened. People woke up and realized the sky hadn't fallen and the stock market actually rose. Almost 1% in total value.

Just like last night's election there was a loser this morning. That loser is the bond market. The 10 Year yield has risen to just under 2.0%, the highest since last January. Thirty-year mortgage bonds are down over 70 basis points from the closing bell yesterday, meaning that it'll cost you $1,400 to get the same rate on that $200,000 loan that it did yesterday. This is one of the largest single day increase in rates that I have seen in my 12 year career. Wow......life of a mortgage banker.
