Primary Mortgage Market Survey® (PMMS®) results are based on the mortgage rate collected from thousands of loan applications submitted to Freddie Mac from lenders across the country when a borrower applies for a mortgage.
Compared to this time last year, mortgage rates are half a percent lower, creating a more favorable environment for homebuyers and homeowners.
