We’re incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and amazing support at our ribbon cutting celebration for United Insurance Group! A huge thank you to the Amity Regional Chamber of Commerce for helping us celebrate this exciting new chapter. Special thanks as well to S M Cooper Photography for beautifully capturing the day and to Cookie Brew for the delicious treats and refreshments that made the event even sweeter. We also want to extend our appreciation to State Representative Kathy Kennedy for welcoming us into our wonderful new space at 35 Old Tavern Rd in Orange. We’re excited for the future and look forward to continuing to serve our community from our new home! 🎉

United Insurance Group, Inc. recently relocated from a 1,700-square-foot office space on the Boston Post Road that it had occupied since the 1980s to a 3,400-square-foot office suite on the top floor of The Firelite Professional Building at 35 Old Tavern Road, Orange, marking a new chapter in the agency’s long-standing presence in the community.

Founded in 1973 by the late Jerry Ucci and now celebrating over 50 years in Orange, the agency has grown into a second-generation, family-owned business known for personalized service and long-standing client relationships.

That legacy continues today with daughter Rachel Gaudet heading the agency. Rachel's husband, Scott Gaudet, joined the agency in 2023 and now serves as co-owner and Chief Operating Officer. (Both pictured)

It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Jerry Ucci, Founder of United Insurance Group. A lifelong Connecticut resident, Jerry built our agency from the ground up, always treating clients like family and putting relationships at the heart of his work.

We are deeply grateful to our clients for your trust and support over the years, and we remain committed to serving you with the same care, integrity, and dedication that Jerry exemplified throughout his career.

We invite all to celebrate Jerry’s life on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Vertical Church – 225 Meloy Road, West Haven, CT. Calling hours begin at 9:30 a.m., with service at 11 a.m.
