Someone asked me today, “Why would anyone need a Medicare broker? Can’t people just sign up for a plan themselves?”

Absolutely! You can enroll in Medicare all by yourself.

You can also cut your own hair. 😂✂️

But that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea!

Here’s something most people don’t realize…

For 2027, Duval County ALONE has 87 Medicare Advantage plans listed! 😳

Now, 45 of those are Special Needs Plans with specific eligibility requirements. But that still leaves 42 general Medicare Advantage plans to sort through!

And every plan can have different:

✅ Doctor and hospital networks

✅ Prescription drug coverage and costs

✅ Copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket limits

✅ Dental, vision, and other extra benefits

✅ Rules and restrictions buried in the fine print
