After a very quick trip into the grocery store, I realize they were selling pumpkins for a dollar apiece! We learned something new in this process, when you put an actual candle in a small pumpkin and put the top back on it, you get a free air freshener of pumpkin in your house! 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

There's something special about making a classic from scratch. 🍝

In honor of National Pasta Day, here's a simple homemade pasta recipe to try:

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
3 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp olive oil

Mix. Knead. Rest. Roll. Enjoy.

Combine your ingredients and knead until smooth. Allow the dough to rest for 30 minutes before rolling it thin and cutting it into your favorite pasta shape. Cook in salted boiling water for about 2–4 minutes, then pair it with your favorite toppings.

For anyone that has read my newsletter, you will know that my 3 1/2 year-old Foreman is not exactly on the job building her bakery. The latest installment is that we needed to divert our attention from building the playhouse in order to build a home for the caterpillar we found. The caterpillar house included a living room, a bathroom and a shower. Gotta love that imagination! 😂 Hint, the circle of leaves and scrap lumber is the caterpillar home, but don't ask me where the bathroom is! 😂🤦🏻‍♂️
