The Spring 2026 Economic Pulse Report revealed that both business and government leaders have an appetite for investment in the region, but hurdles to investment remain. Event attendees will hear from a panel of resource providers who will discuss local tools and resources available to facilitate desired development that helps Northern Michigan thrive.

Jessica Lovay, Sr. Program Manager for Community Investment with Northern Lakes Economic Alliance, will discuss development financing tools available to local units of government as well as best practices for developers and units of government when bringing projects forward.

Victims receive postcards in the mail offering free gift cards, but when they try to claim, the scam kicks in.
