Behind the mission of Catholic Future Foundation are people who generously share their time, experience and commitment to help strengthen the future of our Catholic community.

Heavenly Father,

Bless all who begin a new school year. Fill students with curiosity, courage and a love for learning. Grant wisdom and patience to teachers as they guide young hearts and minds. Strengthen parents as the first teachers of the faith, and bless all who support Catholic education through their generosity.

May our schools be places where faith is nurtured, knowledge is pursued and Christ is encountered each day. We ask Your blessing upon this new academic year and entrust every classroom to Your loving care. Amen.

A scholarship is more than financial assistanceโ€”it's an investment in the future of the Church.

The ๐“๐ก๐จ๐ฆ๐š๐ฌ ๐†. ๐“๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐’๐œ๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐š๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ was established to help students from the Archdiocese of Omaha attend a The Cardinal Newman Society -recognized Catholic college, where they can grow academically while deepening their faith.

This year's recipient, Cecelia Mellender, is studying Exercise Science at Walsh University and plans to earn a Master's degree in Bioethics followed by a Medical Doctorate, with the goal of becoming a physician specializing in palliative care.

Cecelia shared that receiving this scholarship has eased the financial burden of college, allowing her to focus on her studies and her calling to care for others with compassion, dignity and respect at every stage of life.

Stories like Cecelia's remind us that scholarships do more than help students earn a degreeโ€”they help form faithful leaders who will serve the Church and the world for generations to come.

As we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy as Americans, we are reminded that true freedom is rooted not simply in choice, but in responsibility.

Our faith calls us to use the gifts we have been given in service to God and one another. Through faithful stewardship, we strengthen our parishes, schools and ministries, ensuring they continue to proclaim the Gospel and serve future generations.

This Independence Day, may we give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy, pray for our nation and renew our commitment to live lives of faith, generosity and hope.
