The 2-year Note yield and the 10-year are close to disinverting and when they do, history has shown that a recession comes shortly after. A disinversion is when short term yields fall below long term yields. An inverted yield curve is when short term yields are above long term.

An inversion is the long-leading indicator of recession, and a disinversion is the signal that maybe you're entering or you're near an actual recession.

The takeaway ... that if a recession sets in then borrowing costs will decline further, demand will decrease while prices could fall. And where a recession is not good for the overall economy, it could help cool down soaring home prices and possibly increase supply.
