HELP! HOW SHOULD I FEEL?

Today, a guy saw me get out of my work truck and engaged me.

CONVERSATION:
Man: "How does someone fire their mortgage?"
Me: I shared the concept of trading simple interest for compounded interest. (Of course, I explained more.)
Man: But how do you do that?
Me: "That's what we teach people."
Man: "Oh so I have to pay you to learn how to do it. Everybody's got their schtick."
Me: "Um, yeah, it'd be great if I could work for free, but I wouldn't be able to do a very good job of serving people."
Man: (slumpy and losing interest) "Yeah, I guess."

CONTEXT:
The man was working as he was talking to me. Catch that...he was getting paid to ask me to work for free. This conversational happens a lot and I am unresolved as to how I should feel about this.

I don’t talk about myself much. Today I feel inspired to be more authentic. Thank you, Grant Stonebraker❗️

I’ve had the amazing corporate jobs. Wells Fargo Wealth Advisor, TD Ameritrade Sr. Wealth Consultant, State Farm Agency Owner. In each case, the heads of the pyramids had their flavor of the day for the products they wanted all their people to push. And next week it changed. (How in the world did they know what was best for every client across the entire country all at once? But somehow they did!) 😜

I regularly receive calls from recruiters inviting me to go back to that world. “It would be so easy!” the lady this week said. I literally laughed out loud. I think I caught her off guard. I don’t think she expected such an outburst. The things is…she’s probably right.

I would be off at 5, have full benefits and better pay.

But how many people feel they are truly changing the world they live in—that they are absolutely improving family lines in a palpable way? 🙋🏻‍♂️i want my world to know that I do! Deep down in my soul to the top of the brim (whatever that means), I absolutely do. I do right by my clients every time. I have no residue of prostituting products that put people deeper in debt, diminishes their health, or feeds their lusts.

I provide true financial freedom unlike anyone in the entire country. Really! Not bragging. Just stating. Others do parts of what I do. Nobody does all the things I do in the way I do them. (Prove me wrong 🙃)

The cost?
✅ Late hours.
✅ Inconsistent income.
✅ Betrayal. (TO me, not BY me 😁)

Q: Worth it?
A: Well, I’m still running and pressing harder than ever. interestingly, the faster I run, the quieter the voices of the critics become in the background, like little squeaky mouses in the far distance. (I know the plural of mouse is mice, “mouses” sounds more laughable, like all of their little voices!)

NOW FOR YOU…

You have a one-of-a-kind gift to give to your world.

You don’t have to quit your safe job to do it (or maybe you do?). Just bring your unique, creative, powerful YOU into all you do!

I could go on. But just look in the mirror and tell YOURSELF who you are. You know you better than any other human.

I am befuddled when people boast that they don't want to eliminate debt because they are already investing! I want to say that's like running a one-legged race. Your one leg maybe robust, but you'll not get there as quickly as if you utilized both legs.

Perhaps a basic understanding of the balance sheet is in order:

Add $1 to Assets = increase Net Worth by a Dollar.

Reduce Debt by $1 = increase Net Worth by a Dollar.

Add $1 to Assets & reduce Debt by $1 = increase of NW by $2.

A GOOD CAUSE

If you are a giver and are looking for a good cause, allow me to introduce Jan Benites. Jan is a one of those bright shining lights everywhere she goes! That light is scheduled to go on a Missionary Trip to an area desperately in need of light. The area is unnamed for reasons of safety.

She is going with a group from Christ Community Church in Omaha NE. While on the trip, she will participate in community service projects, evangelism, and humanitarian aid efforts.
