Right now we serve over 150 families with food assistance and support services. But we know of 50 more who need help.

Tomorrow we are asking 150 people to donate $75. Thats $11,250; enough to support those 50 families before December 31st.

Last night, I had the privilege of attending an inspiring fundraising event at The Tree House with Chicago Vibrant Neighborhoods Collective (CVNC). As part of the Roseland Collective Cohort, Why We Care NFP is proud to be a part of this transformative initiative strengthening homegrown nonprofits on Chicago’s South and West Sides.

A huge thank you to Mayor Lori Lightfoot for founding CVNC and championing nonprofit sustainability in historically disinvested communities. This initiative provides crucial tools, resources, and collaboration opportunities to help organizations like ours thrive.

I am truly honored and humbled to have attended the 104th Inauguration of the House of Representatives in Springfield, IL. It was an incredible opportunity to witness history in the making and celebrate with esteemed leaders.

The evening continued with the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus' 104th Inaugural Celebration, a powerful reminder of the progress and unity within our state. Meeting Governor Pritzker and Speaker Welch, along with so many other amazing leaders, was inspiring and deeply memorable.

This experience has reinforced my commitment to making a difference in our communities and ensuring that everyone has a voice. Here's to progress, unity, and the future! 🏛️🎉
