Allstate Insurance Agent: Matthew Wigington I was born and raised in Desoto County. I grew up in Hernando and played sports throughout the Mid-South area. I love Olive Branch. Thank you.

It’s an established community and continues growing rapidly while maintaining its small-town feel. People get involved in the community and will actively socialize with others in public with smiling faces. It was a no-brainer for me to open my agency here in April 2019, after working in insurance for seven years prior. We’re proud to offer Allstate auto, home, life and business insurance to customers in the area.

I understand the importance of giving back and being a positive influence in the community. I’m a member of the Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce and the Olive Branch Young Business Leaders. I find it important to help the development of businesses and education of youth.

When I’m not in the office, I love making memories with my wife, Sarah, and playing with our two dogs, Ghost and Loki – both are Husky hybrids. I have a variety of hobbies. I can often be found golfing, gardening, playing softball, competing in axe throwing, making delicious food on the grill, traveling or watching a good movie.

As an Allstate representative, I feel I can make a difference in people’s lives and help those in my community. At my agency, our staff and I strive to provide excellent customer service, and we’re excited to hear the stories that make people unique. Please call our office or feel free to stop by.

Did you know 1 in 4 women experience domestic violence in the US and nearly all of these cases involve financial abuse? Financial abuse is one of the main reasons victims either stay in or return to abusive relationships. Allstate is dedicated to helping survivors move toward financial security through its Moving Ahead Curriculum and help young people with the information and confidence they need to prevent abusive relationships before they start.

Consider sharing this resource on your social media page or someone you know who may be experiencing abuse. While the training is geared toward domestic violence survivors, anyone can use it to learn more about financial security.

Another great way to support survivors is to donate funds or supplies to local shelters and programs. On one day in 2019, more than 11,0000 requests for emergency shelter, childcare, and other services went unanswered because programs lacked funding. Our agency partners with House of Grace, a wonderful shelter that has been helping survivors for over twenty years in North Mississippi. Our very own, Gina Wigington, is an active board member who is very dedicated to helping our community.

Allstate has been helping keep roads safe for more than 65 years, beginning with drivers' education in the 1950’s, working to make seatbelts mandatory in the 1960’s, encouraging auto makers to include air bags into the 1980’s, and funding programs for teen drivers through The Allstate Foundation.
