How Sweet Friends Bakery Was Designed to Bring People Together

What if your favorite bakery felt more like your favorite room in the house? That's exactly what Nicole Hanson set out to create with Sweet Friends Bakery, a women-owned bakery and coffee shop in Edmond, Oklahoma, built on the belief that great food made with good ingredients and genuine community belong together.

After spending more than a decade helping run small coffee shops and bakeries in Kentucky and Oklahoma, Nicole decided it was finally time to bring her dream to life. She envisioned more than just another bakery - she wanted a place where neighbors could gather, friendships could grow, and everyone would feel as comfortable as if they were sitting in their own living room.

From the large community table and cozy reading nook to the dedicated space for moms and toddlers, every corner of Sweet Friends Bakery was designed with connection in mind. Of course, it also helps that the menu is filled with fresh, made-from-scratch baked goods, savory breakfast and lunch favorites, and expertly crafted coffee made fresh every day.

Watch Nicole's story, learn what inspired her to take the leap into entrepreneurship, and see how her dream became one of Edmond's most welcoming gathering places.
