Knock, knock! A lot of folks are checking in. I’ll have more videos soon if you care to watch. I highly doubt the Covid subsidies will be renewed since anything designed to help people who need help are being taken away. (Not gonna get political about that.)

There are all kinds of alternatives to the ACA (the marketplace) that have been in the works before 2019. Tax subsidies covered up the ridiculous cost of premiums, and for SOME, lowered their deductible and out of pocket max (silver plans for those poor enough to qualify). The rest of y’all can suck it.

Well, I played in the “Y’all can suck it” space. Then came covid and the government knew too many people didn’t have insurance. They threw money at the premiums and people could help themselves online when things were so good on the marketplace.

I transitioned from this space and returned to precious metals. Initially I could do both, but changes in my circumstance left me less time to devote to health care.

Yet here I am with a head full of knowledge, but not time to be your agent. So here’s the deal…

If I have a link for things you can sing up for, I will provide them. If an agent is needed for you to sign up, I will personally find someone to help you. Simply PM me and I will hand pick someone to help you. Your phone will not explode with solicitors. I have dozens of amazing agents who can help you if you need to apply through an agent.

Bottom line, ask me for help through PM, and I’ll get you the support you need.

Please don’t comment on my posts requesting help. There are vultures out there who will approach you who are not me. They do not speak for me. They will try to sell you what they have. Probably not what I’ve shown you.

Stop a moment and breathe. There are all kinds of options to pay for medical expenses that are not ACA plans on the Marketplace. Even I am reassessing my coverage at 60 years of age, when this is as expensive as it gets.

Spring sports are just around the corner. Are your student athletes protected by your insurance if they get hurt or are YOU responsible for accident care until your child meets his/her annual deductible?

Oh, and don't forget your cheerleaders. They can twist an ankle or hurt a shoulder with the best of other athletes.

What's your deductible? If it's thousands of dollars, watch this video for an inexpensive way to NOT pay those several thousand dollars. Let this policy do that job instead.

We learned since posting about the rate increase for teachers that this increase impacts anyone receiving benefits from the State of Oklahoma for 2022.

The most significant increase is for those who add their children to their coverage. The cost going from around $600 to $1,269 per month. Many will simply need to do something else to insure their kids.

We offer a private option that can insure a "child only" without an adult as well. Great coverage for the first child starts about $155 and what we call "Max Protect" coverage goes up to about $265. Compare that to $544 for one child on the state coverage.

You can add more children to a "child only" policy if you want or need to. If opting for the "Max Protect", each additional child would cost about $192. If you like the "Great Coverage", each additional child would cost about $110.

Naturally, there are options in between those two, since unlike the group coverage, you can choose how much or how little coverage you want. More coverage costs more. Less coverage costs less.

Look at the increase in BCBS premiums for Teachers with kids in Oklahoma. If you know a teacher in Oklahoma insuring his/her kids through work, please have them call me at 405-421-7660. It does not cost anywhere near that kind of money to properly insure a child or children. The cost for the spouse is dodgy as well. Good heavens! Have we no respect for our teachers in this state?
