I don’t think any of us were prepared for what happened Sunday. 😭🩷
Because of YOU, our community raised $22,080 for Sophia and her family.
Take a second and let thatEl Rigo Suavest a few weeks ago, this family received every parent’s worst nightmare: their beautiful little girl was diagnosed with Stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma. Since then, their entire world has changed overnight.
When we announced Sophia Strong: Ink for Hope, our dream was simple: raise enough money so Rigo could stay home with Sophia and not have to worry about choosing between providing for his family and being by his daughter’s side.
Today, through tears of joy, we can say… WE DID IT.
Because of every tattoo, every donation, every share, every prayer, and the unbelievable $10,000 gift from Front Porch Homes, we’ve made it possible for Rigo to stay home with Sophia for at least six months while she fights the biggest battle of her life.
That is something none of us will ever forget.
To every artist who worked until their hands hurt, every client who waited in line, every business that donated, every volunteer, every person who gave $5 or $500, and everyone who shared Sophia’s story—you are the reason this happened.
You didn’t just raise money.
You gave a father the gift of time with his daughter.
You gave a family room to breathe.
You gave hope during one of the darkest moments of their lives.
This is what community looks like.
This is what love looks like.
