Earlier this week, we experienced a system outage due to severe weather. At State Farm, we take pride in our commitment to customer service. This outage caused us to fall short of our own expectations and those of our customers. We apologize for the service disruption and appreciate your patience and understanding during this unprecedented event.
Please know that we’re committed to making changes and improvements to guard against future outages. As we always do, we will work with each of our customers individually to address any issues regarding payments, claims or other needs that could not be processed during this time.
For now, please reach out to your local State Farm agent or our website at newsroom.statefarm.com/status with any questions or needs you may have.
What happened?
Our systems are experiencing an outage which began mid-day on February 15.
This affected contact centers, agent offices, and other tools (internet, mobile app).
Our systems have been partially restored and we are able to serve customers to a greater degree than yesterday.
We continue to work on fully restoring our systems.
How can I contact you now?
Call your State Farm agent.
Call 1-800-StateFarm. Hold times may be longer than normal and we may have limited functionality as we bring systems back online.
Email [email protected]. We may not be able to reply right away due to the volume of messages, but we will reply when we can.
What if I missed a payment?
We are currently working to restore our systems as quickly as possible. As our billing systems come back online, we will review accounts/payments affected by the outage and update as necessary. Late fees will NOT be charged to any accounts.
For customers who are enrolled in automatic payments, any previously scheduled payments will be automatically processed when our systems are restored.
What if I need a quote?
Unfortunately, our systems are down at the moment. Once they are back up, you can use our online tool to generate a quote. Please check back if the tool is not working.
