Ocean Financial - The Catholic Credit Union Ocean Financial is a not-for-profit organization built on the credit union philosophy of people helping people.

We provide financial products and services to the catholic community. Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union (previously named Oceanside Christopher Federal Credit Union) was chartered in 1969 by a small group of members at the Father Joseph O’Connell Knights of Columbus (Council #3481) in Oceanside N.Y. Made up of an all-volunteer group, they wanted to provide financial services to the families of

their Brother Knights at the council. In January 2017, the credit union is undergoing a name change in order to further reach out to Catholic Long Islanders. Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that no one person profits from personally. Profits are returned to our member-owners in the form of higher dividends on savings, lower rates on loans and less fees than you would find at a bank. Today, our field of membership includes the Knights of Columbus, The Diocese of Rockville Centre and any Catholic interested in the credit union.

Ocean Financial team members had the privilege to attend the Michael Sloan Memorial Golf Outing, raising money for the NYPD Anchor Club. Mike served on the Ocean Financial Board of Directors since 2016. In his tenure he was a stalwart supporter of the Credit Union has been incredibly missed by everyone in the Ocean Financial family.
