June 6, 1944. D-Day. Allied forces landed in Normandy in a pivotal moment of World War II.

For NMCRS, days like this are a reminder of who we are here for. Behind every mission is a person, a family, and a community carrying the weight of service. For more than a century, Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society has stood with Sailors, Marines, and their families through every challenge and every new beginning, with support rooted in dignity, hope, and compassion.

Before you make your next move, NMCRS can help you build a realistic budget and plan your expenses. Most importantly, if you need an interest-free loan or grant to help ease the burden, we can help and keep you from relying on high interest options.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We are proud to stand beside the Navy and Marine Corps community not only in moments of need, but also in moments of remembrance.

Today, we honor the fallen and the families who continue to serve through their strength and resilience.

On National Maritime Day, we recognize the Sailors and military families whose lives are deeply shaped by service at sea. ⚓ Behind every deployment, underway period, and homecoming is a family navigating long separations, constant change, and the challenges that come with military life.

At NMCRS, we are proud to support Sailors, Marines, and their loved ones through every chapter; from financial assistance during unexpected hardship to resources that help families stay strong while their service member is away. Today, we honor the strength of those who serve at sea and the families who serve alongside them.

A Chair of Volunteers (COV) is often one of the first people volunteers meet. They provide a first impression to what volunteering with the Society will be like and are the go-to person for any questions. The COV supports not only the volunteers, but the staff as well. We here at Camp Pendleton have been so lucky to have had Linda filling that role for the last year. Linda's friendly disposition and desire to serve our military community made her the perfect fit for the COV role and we are going to miss her as her and her family go on to their next adventure.

Thank you Linda for all of your hard work and we wish you all good luck and safe travels! ✈
