I am sending this to you along with a select group of people who I think need to consider this subject.

So, some of us are getting old - yes? Life has flown by and our mortality now clearly comes into focus. There are things in our lives that need to be planned and taken care of to be prepared for the last leg of the journey. I'm not going to write an essay on Estate Planning but I do want to focus on one thing. Please read and know this: Statistics from every source say that 2 out of 3 of us will need some sort of Long-Term Care in the years ahead and it's expensive!!! Home Care, Assisted Living or Nursing Home cost thousands of dollars a month. So that begs the question WILL I OUTLIVE MY MONEY?

Long-term care insurance is very expensive and doesn't give us the flexibility to use our resources to deal with other needs that arise. It's better to have the ability to earn a great return of 5% on a safe tax deferred investment, have access to our funds to deal with emergencies, and pay for care if we need it. There is a new solution that just recently came out that does just that and I'm really excited about it. Amazingly anyone can qualify regardless of health issues and if the money is used for any kind of care the earnings are TAX FREE. There's one more thing that is fantastic. An investment of $50,000 can provide an immediate 5 year long-term care tax free benefit of up to $150,000 depending upon your health status. Remember, anyone can qualify!

A survey by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found that 49% of Americans 40 and older expect Medicare to pay for their long-term care. In reality, the program covers only 100 days in a skilled nursing facility after a hospital stay.

The survey also found that 69% of respondents had done little or no planning for long-term care needs — and just 16% were confident that they would have the money to pay for that help.

On this day, July 4th, we remember the life and legacy of Thomas Jefferson, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. While we celebrate Independence Day with good food, laughter, and relaxation, it's important to reflect on the sacrifices and hard work that went into creating this great nation.

Thomas Jefferson played a pivotal role in the American Revolution and the drafting of the Declaration of Independence. He was a true visionary who believed in the power of democracy and individual liberty. His contributions to our country are immeasurable, and his ideas continue to inspire us today.

As we enjoy this holiday with our loved ones, let us also take a moment to honor the memory of Thomas Jefferson and all those who fought for our freedom.
