🚨 MEDICARE SCAM/SALES CALL REMINDER 🚨

We’re seeing calls where someone claims to be calling from “Medicare” and tells you there is a problem with your information, your coverage, or that something needs to be “entered into the Medicare system.”

Please be careful.

👉 Medicare is not going to randomly call you asking you to make changes to your insurance coverage.

👉 If there is an issue with the Medicare plan you have chosen, your insurance company will send you official communication, typically by mail.

👉 There is no need for someone to “enter Medicare into the system” for you.

Unfortunately, language like this can be used as a sales tactic to get you to call in, where someone may then try to change your current policy, enroll you into something else, or become the agent associated with your policy.

⚠️ Before giving anyone your Medicare number, Social Security number, banking information, or permission to make changes, STOP and verify who you are speaking with.

If you receive a call, letter, postcard, or advertisement that you aren’t sure about, call your trusted insurance agent first.

A five-minute phone call to verify something can save you a whole lot of headache later. ❤️

🩺 Marketplace Reminder 🩺

If you have a Marketplace/Georgia Access health insurance plan and your income changes during the year, it’s really important to update your application as soon as possible.

Changes in income can affect:
✔️ your monthly subsidy
✔️ what you owe at tax time
✔️ eligibility for certain plans

A lot of people don’t realize this until tax season rolls around, and we’d much rather help you fix it now than deal with surprises later 😅

If you’re unsure whether you should update your application, give us a call!
