Very important to keep these signs in mind as changes in personality, executive function, vision, language, and social functioning can be very subtle.

Memory loss is the symptom everybody worried about Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia seems to focus on. After all, it's distressing -- and increasingly obvious.

This is a great article as so much is possible. I love that the visiting nurse invited homebound clients to her wedding! I am in the process of installing simplified computers and computer-based devices for individuals who have difficulty with "regular" computers. Having internet, video calls, photos, videos and music really opens up the outside world to those who are unable to otherwise fully participate.

For the young and able-bodied, online networking is an invaluable tool of commerce, social life and entertainment. For those whose social circles have diminished because of age, illness or limited mobility, social networking can be a bridge out of isolation and depression.
