Run it back??
A week after 26.2, I’ve been doing some thinking.
1. I did not perform the way that I wanted to.
2. Middle miles were faster than my coach trained on.
3. I underestimated the psychological impact of the taper.
4. I came in heavier than I should have.
5. Take the AirPod case because the AirPods are useless unless they pair.
6. Don’t rely so much on feel, rely on what you trained on.
7. Enjoy the scenery, don’t just check the box.
8. I regret the last 10k. ( see #2 ).
9. Don’t forget to smile, some don’t ever get the chance to even try.
10. I should have given more thought to sizing up my shoes to a 12.5. I didn’t account for the swelling.
I stand by my thought that I gave everything I had to give. There are tweaks that I should’ve made that would have maybe produced a different outcome.
I started back to the weights on Saturday for leg day, core, and 10 miles on the bike.
Today was upper body, core, and my first run since Sunday with a 5k.
Anyhow, I say all that to say, I don’t know what’s next.
Maybe I should run it back…
