waxprotradingguidance Q2 is officially here 🎯
Here's a little quick exercise for you to do today.
Grab your pen and journal.
What did you do in Q1 that moved you closer towards your goals?
What did you do that moved you away from your goals?
What habits, actions and thoughts, if you kept doing and thinking them, would move you forward?
What of those would move you backwards?
These questions are examples of reflections - the process of looking backwards so you can more properly move forwards.
You have access to this incredible tool at all times.
Two people can go through the exact same experiences and have totally different results.
The way to get the most out of every experience, every failure, every mistake, every challenge, is by REFLECTING on it.
If you've already done your ASR/reflections, good. Then think about this.
What MUST you do in Q2?
"Must" tends to intimidate, but there comes a point in the journey when enough is enough; you have to establish non-negotiables in your life and trading.
How will you use the next 90 days while not letting those 90 days use you?

Driving without a destination.
Don't get me wrong, I like a casual drive for the sake of driving every once in awhile...
But imagine if every time you drove you had no destination in mind.

The reason why so many traders, regardless of strategy, find themselves not breaking through.⁠
Once real money is involved, average emotional attachment increases significantly.⁠
So many traders on their journey fall into the trap of going into their broker and counting the dollars fluctuate as their trades work for and against them.⁠
Even worse, countless traders leave tons of profit on the table because they close their trades when they see them reach a certain dollar amount that means something to them (one typical workday’s worth, for example).⁠
This might work towards the beginning of one’s journey on a smaller account, but chasing your P&L is simply not healthy, sustainable or scalable.⁠
How will you deal with pullbacks and swings on a 50K, 100K, or 1M account?⁠
It’s not the strategy that will serve you in the long term, which is where our heads need to stay!⁠
