American National Bank Once Again Receives 5-Star Rating!

BauerFinancial ratings are out for the 4th quarter 2024, and American National Bank remains a 5-Star rated Bank. This designates ANB as a “Superior” bank recommended by Bauer and marks 43 consecutive quarters in which the Bank has maintained Bauer’s highest rating.

Bauer Financial is the leading independent financial institutions rating firm. Their star ratings classify each institution based upon a complex formula factoring in current and historical data, including profitability, asset quality, loan delinquencies, and other factors. However, the first level of evaluation is the capital level, which is a bank’s main indicator of its overall strength and stability, as it is considered a cushion for the unexpected.

ANB has a very strong capital position, with Tier I Capital of $62.77 million at 12/31/24 and continues to rise. Bank regulators set capital requirements using 3 levels: minimum, adequate, and well-capitalized. The leverage capital ratio for qualifying as “well-capitalized” is 5%. ANB’s 14.66% capital ratio is almost three times higher than what is required to be considered well-capitalized and continues to increase each quarter.

Habitat for Humanity of Broward’s 6th Annual CEO Build took place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in BBI Village in northwest Fort Lauderdale. This impactful event brought together over 30 top CEOs from across Broward County to support the affordable workforce housing which our community desperately needs. American National Bank President and CEO Ginger Martin worked side-by-side with her fellow leaders to help make a tangible difference in expanding affordable workforce homeownership.

The group of volunteers worked throughout the morning on the future home of the Wilson Family, while helping to elevate the conversation about this critical need and making the dream of homeownership possible for several families.

Brent Burns, CEO of JM Family Enterprises and Keith Koenig, Chairman of CITY Furniture, co-chaired the event. The Bank also made a $7,500 gift to Habitat for Humanity.

BBI Village is an entire affordable Habitat community in Broward County that is being funded by American National Bank customer Burdette Beckmann Inc (BBI) in partnership with Habitat Broward. The community is helping to transform the lives of 20 families by helping them achieve their dream of becoming homeowners.

ANB Supports Broward Sheriff’s Advisory Council
Shop with a Cop Event

The Broward Sheriff’s Advisory Council (BSAC) teamed up with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department and Fire Rescue to bring joy to 80 of the most deserving children from 4 local schools at their annual "Shop With a Cop" event. Selected by School Resource Officers, these children decorated ornaments and enjoyed a $200 shopping spree on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Target in Fort Lauderdale, paid for by BSAC using their American National Bank debit card. BSAC’s Children of the Fallen also received $200 gift cards.

ANB team members Ginger Martin, Sharon King, and David Stahler along with David’s wife Renee Stahler, joined BSAC Chairman of the Board Andy Mitchell and Chief of Staff Valerie Silverman to provide support at the event.

BSAC is a 501(C)(3) non-profit launched in 1985 by business and community leaders dedicated to supporting law enforcement, firefighters, and other first responders in Broward County. Their primary mission is providing financial assistance to the families of Broward County first responders that are killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty. Over the years, the focus evolved to invest more deeply in those on whom we depend for so much. Working closely with the Broward County Sheriff and Chiefs, BSAC provides funding for state-of-the-art technology and equipment, specialized training, and wellness programs for these dedicated public servants. The Advisory Council is also committed to community and support programs that focus on improving the lives of first responders and their families.

BSAC’s Community Outreach program, amongst 5 others, is devoted to fortifying robust connections within the diverse communities of Broward County. This initiative focuses on establishing meaningful relationships by funding various programs that enhance communication, trust, and contribute to overall public safety. Shop With a Cop is one of many programs geared toward strengthening cooperative relationships between first responders and the many diverse communities of Broward County.
