Turn Point Advisors After more than ten years of service in various medical offices as a CNA, HHA, and CMA. I returned to school to get my Healthcare Management BS degree.

At Turn Point Advisors, we're a licensed independent agency specializing in Supplements, Medicare Advantage plans, Prescription Drug Plans, and a broad portfolio of ancillary insurance products. Not too long after, I started working with the Indiana Division of Family Services for nearly seven years, helping people with financial assistance, Medicaid, Medicare buy-in, and Food Stamps. Working closely with clients who are disabled, helping retirees, and social work all become major sources of motivation and enthusiasm. For the younger generation, you're probably using Medicaid, the ACA Marketplace, or employer-sponsored insurance for the younger generation. Starting July 1, 2026, Medicare began a temporary program called the ๐Œ๐ž๐๐ข๐œ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐†๐‹๐-๐Ÿ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ ๐ž that may allow some Medicare beneficiaries to get certain weight-loss medications for a flat $50 per month.

Eligibility depends on your BMI and certain health conditions:

BMI 35+
โžก๏ธ You may qualify without another qualifying condition.

BMI 30+
โžก๏ธ You may qualify if you also have diastolic heart failure, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or stage 3a or higher chronic kidney disease.

BMI 27+
โžก๏ธ You may qualify if you also have prediabetes, a previous heart attack or stroke, or symptomatic peripheral artery disease.

โš ๏ธ Important: Medicare looks at your BMI when you start GLP-1 therapy.

๐Ÿ“ How does it work?
You must have Medicare drug coverage, and your doctor will submit the prescription and prior authorization through Medicare's designated process.

The Bridge operates separately from your regular Part D plan, so your Part D plan does not have to participate.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Here's the catch...
The $50 monthly cost:
โŒ Does not count toward your Part D deductible
โŒ Does not count toward the $2,100 Part D out-of-pocket limit
โŒ Cannot be reduced by Extra Help
โŒ Cannot be spread out through the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan

๐Ÿšซ Who isn't eligible?
The Bridge isn't for everyone. It generally does not apply if:
โ€ข You're already receiving a GLP-1 through your Part D plan
โ€ข You have type 2 diabetes
โ€ข You have moderate-to-severe sleep apnea
โ€ข You have fatty liver disease

In those situations, your ๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š๐ซ ๐Œ๐ž๐๐ข๐œ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐œ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ ๐ž ๐ฆ๐š๐ฒ ๐›๐ž ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฉ๐š๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐จ ๐œ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ ๐ž.
