Not all insurance companies are the same. I’m sorry. They’re just not.

With all the questions about State Farm Mutual’s $5 BILLION dividend, here’s the short version:

WHAT IS “MUTUAL”?
State Farm Mutual has no outside shareholders. Policyholders are members, and the company is structured to operate for their benefit.

WHAT IS THE $5 BILLION?
A one-time dividend to qualifying auto customers, made possible by State Farm Mutual’s financial strength and stronger-than-expected 2025 underwriting performance.

IS IT A RATE REFUND OR GUARANTEED?
No. It’s not a rate refund, and dividends are not guaranteed.

WHY DOES STRUCTURE MATTER?
Stock companies have shareholders. Mutual companies do not have outside shareholders. That difference affects who the company is structured to serve, but it doesn’t determine which policy is right for you.

ARE ALL POLICIES THE SAME?
No. Similar limits on a declarations page can represent different contracts. Policy language, exclusions, conditions and endorsements matter.

ARE ALL AGENTS’ OFFICES THE SAME?
No. State Farm agents are independent contractors. Teams, experience and service can vary from office to office.

IS PRICE IMPORTANT?
Absolutely.

IS PRICE THE WHOLE STORY?
Not even close.

Insurance is more than a price. You’re choosing a company, a contract and the people you’ll rely on when it matters most.

Just another example of the way State Farm gives back to the communities we call home. ❤️

This one is especially close to my heart. Etowah is my hometown, and the Etowah Rescue Squad & Rural Fire Department was awarded a $10,000 grant from State Farm and the National Volunteer Fire Council to help purchase two new intercom systems and headsets to better protect their firefighters.

And that guy pictured above? That’s my brother, Mark, who helped make this grant a reality for Etowah. 🥰

Pretty proud of my hometown, my brother, and a company that continues to invest right back into our local communities. ❤️🚒
