🚨 Smishing scams are surging—and they’re getting personal.

Fraudsters are sending texts that look like they’re from your financial institution, delivery services, or even local utilities. They’ll claim there’s “suspicious activity” or a “problem with your account” and urge you to click a link or reply fast.

Here’s the truth:
✔️ We will never ask for your login, password, or PIN via text
✔️ Urgency is their tactic—pause before you react
✔️ Links in unexpected texts = 🚩

👉 What to do instead:
Go directly to your mobile app or type in the official website—don’t click the link. When in doubt, call us using the number you trust.

Fight Fraud Friday: AI-Enhanced Impersonation Scams are Getting More Convincing

The IRS warns that scammers are now using AI-generated voices, spoofed caller ID, and fake emails/texts to impersonate the IRS and demand payment or "verify" your identity.

Fight Fraud Friday Tip: The IRS will never call, text , or email you demanding immediate payment. Hang up, block the number, and contact the IRS directly if you're unsure.
