Let’s talk marketing for real.
I’ll be honest — I was behind on my marketing budget planning because I was focused on closing deals until 2:00 PM on Dec 31st. Revenue first. Planning second.
Now it’s Jan 2 and I’m mapping out how to drive business all year, not just hope something sticks on social media.
So this post is for my loan officers, realtors, and car sales professionals —
Let’s connect. Let’s build referral relationships, not just follow each other online.
And for my fellow business owners, here’s what we actually do (not what sounds cute):
• Yes, we post on Facebook — but that only reaches so many people
• We ask for shares (most won’t do it)
• My staff still cold calls
• We send mailers
• We run Google ads + keywords
• We call existing customers (and yes, that list started at ZERO in 2009)
• We have a website
• We purchase leads
• We ask for referrals — consistently
• We cross-market with other professionals
• We do digital advertising
• We’ve done billboards
Marketing isn’t one thing. It’s layers. It’s repetition. It’s being seen over and over again.
So let me ask you —
👉 How much do you actually budget for marketing each year to grow your business?
Or are you waiting on that one post to magically go viral?
Drop your thoughts, your strategy, or what you’re trying to figure out.
