I had a roofer call me today and say he is impressed with Alfa’s roof claims and wants to do more work for us. He mentioned the major competitors and said they are not even close to our claims service. It is good to hear we are providing elite service!

Old post but still good information!

My wife recently retired after 25 years of teaching. We have had to make several decisions during the process, one being which retirement benefit option to choose. There are several options from which to choose, including the following:
- Maximum monthly benefit- Pays the highest monthly benefit but has no survivor benefit
- Option 1- Reduced retirement benefit - Upon death of the retiree, any unpaid balance is paid to the beneficiary
- Option 2 - 100% Survivor Benefit - Reduced retirement benefit upon death of retiree. The beneficiary receives 100% lifetime survivor monthly benefit
-Option 3 - 50% Survivor Benefit - Reduced benefit upon death of retiree. The beneficiary receives 50% of the lifetime survivor monthly benefit

With that being said, if you take the Maximum monthly benefit or the 50% benefit in Option 3, life insurance can help you in case of a spouse’s early death. We purchased life insurance and were able to get a higher monthly benefit paid each month.

I had a customer call me a few days ago that said they have not changed insurance in 30 years and wanted to check a quote with us for home, auto, and tractor insurance.They were paying about $12,000 per year to their company. After quoting everything, they changed to us as we saved them about $6,000 per year! So, if you haven’t checked your coverage in a while, let me know. We will be glad to see if we can help you too!

Know your coverages..
A customer called me today and said they are retiring next month and are losing their life insurance when they do leave. So they wanted me to find them some, but the problem is, the customer has a lot of health problems (like many retirees) so their options are now very limited and much more costly. Many people retire because of a health issue and lose their life insurance, which means many can’t find affordable coverage at all. It is wise to always have a policy outside of work (that Is purchased when healthy) to make sure you are always covered. If you ever want a quote, just let us know. We would be glad to help. There are many options available!
