Last night’s storms left many of our neighbors dealing with fallen trees, power outages, property damage, and cleanup.
If you were impacted, here are a few things to keep in mind:
✅ Stay safe around downed power lines and report them immediately.
✅ Take photos of any damage before beginning cleanup when possible.
✅ Make temporary repairs to prevent additional damage (save receipts for materials).
✅ Keep a list of damaged items and document everything thoroughly.
✅ Be cautious of storm-chasing contractors and verify credentials before signing any agreements.
✅ If your home is unsafe, prioritize your family’s safety and follow local emergency guidance.
Most importantly, give yourself grace. Storm recovery can feel overwhelming, but taking things one step at a time can make the process more manageable.
