As we head into the final throes of the third quarter earnings season, U.S. equity futures are moving while Treasury bond yields are easing and the dollar is slowly giving back some of last week's gains. Investors are betting on accelerated tightening from the Federal Reserve
Futures contracts tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average are indicating a 130 point opening gain while those linked to the S&P 500 are priced for a 12.5 point move to the upside.
Boeing BA shares jumped higher in pre-market trading amid reports that after authorities in China are edging closer to lifting their two-and-a-half year ban on the 737 MAX.

Stock futures fluctuated Wednesday as Wall Street monitored earnings reports and the spread of the delta variant of COVID-19 across the globe and awaited U.S. jobs data later in the week.
Earnings season has been strong so far with about 87% of S&P 500 companies reporting earnings and revenue beats. About 70% of the S&P 500 now has reported earnings.
The spread of the COVID-19 delta strain has renewed fears that governments could reinstitute lockdowns and stall the economic recovery. A surge of the virus in China was the broadest since the world's second-largest economy controlled its initial outbreak last year.

An internal document from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has suggested the Delta coronavirus variant surging across the U.S. appears to cause more severe illness and spread as easily as chickenpox.

Optimism about the economic recovery has been tempered this week by concerns growth could stall as variants of the COVID-19 virus spread. Stock futures, however, rose modestly Friday as investors monitored quarterly earnings for the effect inflation might be having on businesses.
Today we expect to see earnings reports from the following companies; Charles Schwab ( SCHW), State Street (STT), Kansas City Southern (KSU) and First Horizon (FHN).
Shares of Moderna (MRNA) were rising nearly 7% in premarket trading Friday after it was announced the vaccine maker would join the S&P 500 index. The stock was rising 6.69% early Friday to $277.04. The stock has gained almost 149% so far in 2021.
Moderna will replace Alexion Pharmaceuticals (ALXN) in the S&P 500 on July 21, according to S&P Dow Jones Indices, the manager of the index. Alexion is being acquired by AstraZeneca (AZN).
Shares of F45 Training Holdings (FXLV), a fitness franchise backed by actor Mark Wahlberg, turned in a muted performance Thursday in its market debut.

The third quarter kicks off today with stock futures pointing higher and we look toward the release of the U.S. jobs report for indications of the economy's recovery.
The strong showing for equities has been led largely by assurances from the Federal Reserve that it will remain accommodative by keeping interest rates low for a while longer as the economy rebounds from the coronavirus pandemic.
Today we expect earnings reports from the following Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), McCormick (MKC), Acuity Brands (AYI) and Simply Good Foods (SMPL).
Ford ( F) edged higher early Thursday after halting production at the Michigan factory that recently began building its Bronco SUV for a lack of parts and curtailing production at eight additional factories due to the global semiconductor shortage.
Didi Global (DIDI), the Chinese ride-hailing giant, was rising sharply in premarket trading Thursday following its less-than-spectacular Wall Street debut on Wednesday.

Will this new coronavirus Delta variant hurt the economic recovery and re-opening? Stock Investors are slightly concerned as futures wobbled a day after the S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed at record highs.
Facebook (FB) edged higher in premarket trading Tuesday after a judge dismissed two antitrust suits filed by the federal government and by a group of states against the social media giant.
Facebook closed more than 4% higher on Monday at $355.64 and its market value crossed $1 trillion.

Cathie Wood's ARK Invest will partner with 21Shares U.S. LLC to file for the launch of the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF. ARK and 21Shares are joining a crowded field of competitors vying to be the first U.S. bitcoin ETF approved, according to David Dierking of ETF Focus.

Stock futures are trading higher this Thursday morning as the Federal Reserve assured it will continue to support the economy. With the inflation goals near, the Federal Reserve may start to raise rates in 2022 and begin the tapering process.

Stocks look to be trending modestly lower this Tuesday ahead of testimony from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, who is expected to tell Congress the economy has shown "sustained improvement" but that the recovery has accelerated inflation.
"Widespread vaccinations have joined unprecedented monetary and fiscal policy actions in providing strong support to the recovery. Indicators of economic activity and employment have continued to strengthen, and real GDP this year appears to be on track to post its fastest rate of increase in decades," Powell said in written comments ahead of a House panel hearing Tuesday.
Korn Ferry (KFY), the management consulting firm, is expected to post quarterly earnings on Tuesday.
Bitcoin fell to below $32,000 early Tuesday, raising the prospects for a steeper selloff if the world's largest cryptocurrency breaches $30,000.
