Many of you may know that we lost my mom a year ago very unexpectedly. During that tragic time, we were burdened with the costs of her funeral and final expenses. I went with my dad and sister to the funeral home to help plan the funeral and burial. Our bill at the end of that meeting was $10,000 - exactly what we needed during that time. I ended up calling their insurance company to see if, by any chance, she had kept her life insurance policy in force. SHE DID! We didn’t have a lot of money growing up, but she always made sure her life insurance was paid as she knew, with her underlying diseases, that she’d never qualify for another life insurance policy again. This immediately relieved the financial burden from my family and we were able to focus on being together and grieving, without worrying about how it was all going to get paid. This also allowed my dad to take some time off work to grieve the loss of his wife.

As your family grows, protect your loved ones. Life can be so unexpected. ❤️
