Take as many pictures as you can of ANY damage in as much detail as possible!

The more you can document the damage, the more you are helping yourself. Your insurance claim coverage will benefit greatly by having detailed documentation.

If your roof sustains damage because of a storm, be sure to tarp the area well.

*Tarping the roof protects your home from sustaining further damage.

*Tarps demonstrate to your insurance company that you are upholding your end of their insurance contract by working to prevent any further damage from occurring prior to repairs.

Before you bring any damaged items or debris out to the street to be picked up, be sure to take lots of photos! If the items are no longer present, the Insurance companies will need to see photo evidence of the damages that you might be claiming.

By doing this you help to make sure you get the most coverage possible.

The fact that this is only showing some of the smaller piles of debris along the streets, is astounding!
