I read somewhere that it takes 25 minutes on average to refocus on what you are doing after an interruption! Four interruptions a day equates to nearly two lost hours. In a "normal" workweek, that's ten lost hours. In a year, 520 hours are lost. That's 21.6 days!

Posted above every workstation in the clinics, the motto "Caring For You is Our Only Care" is displayed for staff and patients to see. Living by our strategic plan (motto, core values, and mission/vision statements) not only reduced the amount of time that our management team and I had to intervene to solve issues but also empowered our team and increased their job satisfaction thereby increasing our employee retention and customer satisfaction metrics.
