So in case you didn't know.... although Medicare Annual Enrollment ended on December 7, 2025.... there are some additional opportunities for you change your current Medicare Advantage plan.
There are some rules: for an Open ENrollment Period~
Who can use the MA OEP?
~Only individuals enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan.
What can you do during the MA OEP (Jan 1 - Mar 31)?
~Switch to a different Medicare Advantage Plan (with or without drug coverage).
~Drop your Medicare Advantage plan and go back to Original Medicare.
What you can't do during MA OEP?:
~Switch from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage plan (this is done during the AEP).
~Switch between Medicare Part D (prescription drug) plans if you're in Original Medicare.
If you are new to Medicare, have moved outside of your current plans coverage area, Dx with a special medical need e.g. diabetis, cardiac, renal , etc or now have Medicaid/Medical, etc you have Special Election Period (SEP).
