Be productive not busy. Let's be real running a business can be overwhelming and down right exhausting at times.

Everything can seem like a fire 🔥 that you need to handle immediately. But the reality is most things aren't.

Managing your time and protecting your peace are crucial if you want to avoid burnout while building your business.

Know when to say no and when to push things to a later time.

Prioritize your commitments and things that will grant you the biggest return on your investment of time.

Ask yourself what's the opportunity cost? What are you giving up in order to complete the task you're focused on? 🤔 Is it worth it? Can someone else do it?

These simple things make it easier to determine what should be done from what needs to be done right now.

Make sure the legacy doesn't end with you. We do the ground work so the next generation can start further ahead.

If they really want it they have to do the work to get ready and we have to make sure they're prepared to take over and more importantly make sure they want it and value it. It's a choice not a plan b if all my other ideas don't work out.

It's okay if they have other ambitions. They don't have to take your place running the business to benefit from it. They can be a shareholder or beneficiary to an estate.

The goal is to empower them to be their best not clone yourself.

As an employee you trade time for 💰 and your work makes money for other people. You work for someone else's business.

Self Employment is a step in the direction of freedom and more control but you're still trading time for money. If you don't work you don't eat. You are the business.

Big business owners leverage other people's time to make you money. You make the decisions and run your business.

Investors leverage systems and put others in place to make decisions based on procedures and values established to run their business for them. They have ultimate control over their time and money comes to them passively. This is where we have true financial freedom.

All the moving parts of a business can be broken into one of three categories. You need to monitor these to see which of these three is the problem.

This is where problem solving and the data come together. Metrics and analysis help you zoom in on the specific things that may be the issue but you'll need to ask questions to find out the best solution.

At this level of business you should no longer be the doer but have people to go to ask more direct questions. Then follow where that leads.

You business is off the ground. It's successful and making good money but you don't have the time to enjoy it.

You've carried this business on your shoulders and are now dangerously close to burn 🔥 out but if you rest you fear your business will implode.

If you don't hustle you don't eat right?

Here's the real of it all. Hustling is not sustainable. If you continue to live life in overdrive eventually your engine will give out.
