There’s this myth we believe in entrepreneurship —
That if you’re doing it “right,” everything should move forward.
The offer should get accepted.
The deal should close.
The doors should open.

But sometimes what God is doing in you is bigger than what you’re building outside of you.
He’ll let the contract fall through to build your character.
He’ll allow delays to grow your discernment.
He’ll let the tension reveal where trust still needs work.

But God was cultivating perseverance.

When It Feels Too Hard

There are days this calling feels like too much.

You pour into your business, your children, your home… and still hit roadblocks. You pray, believe, fast — and still watch deals fall through, resources dry up, and doors that seemed divine suddenly slam shut.

And in that space, it’s easy to wonder: Did I hear God wrong?

But hear this, sis: just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it’s not holy.
Obedience is rarely comfortable. Ministry is rarely neat.
And the truth is — building anything that lasts is going to stretch you.

But that doesn’t mean God isn’t in it.
It might just mean He’s in it more deeply than you realized.

Your weariness is not failure. It’s evidence of your faith.
You’re in the middle of a divine construction site — the noise is normal.

Let’s be real…

Some days I feel like I’m called for this.
Other days, I wonder if I’m crazy for even trying.

I’ve made offers on deals that didn’t go through.
I’ve hit walls with funding.
I’ve dealt with brokers that made me question everything.

And in those moments, I’ve asked God:
“Is this still possible for me?”

But here’s what I’ve learned:
Delays don’t mean denial.
Sometimes, the no’s are protection.
Sometimes, the walls are tests.
Sometimes, it’s less about the deal — and more about your development.

God didn’t call me to real estate just to build homes.
He called me to build faith.
And every obstacle is a reminder:
This journey isn’t just about closing deals.
It’s about becoming the woman who can steward them well.

So if you’re in that waiting season…
Don’t walk away.
Worship through it.
Work through it.
Because yes — it’s still possible for you.

Not just your strategy.

But your soul.

If you struggle with insecurity — entrepreneurship will expose it.
If you crave validation — it’ll confront your people-pleasing.
If you secretly idolize money — it’ll show up in your motives.

I didn’t just build a business…
I went to war with parts of me I didn’t even know were broken.

But it always makes impact.

When God told me to start this journey,
I had questions.
I had doubts.
I had every reason to delay.

But obedience isn't about comfort.
It's about calling.
It’s about choosing God’s direction over people’s opinions.
It’s about trusting that purpose > profit.

Some won’t understand your process —
And that’s okay.
You weren’t called to be understood.
You were called to be obedient.

Keep walking.
Keep building.
Even when it doesn’t make sense —
Especially when it doesn’t make sense.

Over the past few weeks, I was deep into underwriting a 13-unit townhome opportunity in Columbia, SC. On paper, it looked promising — 100% occupied, strong comps, and favorable Freddie Mac financing in place.

But after digging into the local tax structure and requesting copies of the leases, I uncovered a key issue: unclear language around whether tenants or ownership covered property taxes.

That detail changed everything — and ultimately, the deal didn’t pencil.

💡 Lesson? A great investor doesn’t just chase deals — they protect capital first.

Lord,

Thank You for calling me to build — even when I feel unqualified.
Thank You for trusting me with both business and babies.

Give me strength on the hard days.
Clarity when decisions feel heavy.
Peace when the schedule is chaotic.
And grace for the moments I fall short.

Remind me that I don’t have to do it all.
I just have to do what You’ve asked of me.
