Never forget. September 11, 2001.
Twenty-five years later, we still remember the nearly 3,000 lives taken in New York, at the Pentagon, and in that field in Pennsylvania.
We remember the first responders who ran toward the danger. The passengers on Flight 93 who fought back. The families who have carried an empty seat at the table ever since. And those who later died from 9/11-related illnesses.
A generation has grown up who never saw that morning. That is why we say the names, keep the moments of silence, and tell the story again. Today we honor the lost, thank those who served, and pray we remain worthy of the courage shown that day.
Never forget.
