In real estate, I hear this comment a lot -
"Why should the buyers agent make as much as the listing agent?! What have they done to earn that?"
Here's a perfect example of why.
I've been working with these awesome buyers to find their very last forever home since the beginning of May, and it's now September and we've finally found "The One" 🙌 we looked at at least 20 over the past 5 months, and I think people forget, it's not just the time spent on the one that ends up going under contract that we are being compensated for, it's all of the ones before it too that cost us time and money.
Are there times that the first house ends up being the one? Absolutely! Are there buyers who look at multiple houses and never end up buying? Yes! And in those instances you don't get compensated at all. So it ALL works out in the end, every situation is different, but that doesn't mean they haven't worked just as hard to get that deal done.
I am 50/50 on listing vs buyer clients. I like to stay on both sides, and don't feel that any is better than the other, it's all about helping the client achieve their goals whatever they may be!
