Right after my (Micah) divorce — when stress was at its peak — I wasn't thinking clearly about my finances.

I'd pull from gas to cover groceries. Then pull from the electric bill to cover gas. Then shuffle again when something else came up.

It felt like I was handling it. It wasn't.

Those little shifts build. And before I knew it, every category was on fire and my budget — the thing that was supposed to bring me peace — was just more stress.

What I wish I'd had was someone to just… stop me. Look at the numbers with me, without all the emotion, and help me see what was actually happening before it got worse.
