Updated per most recent communication.

Per the University closure, the Redbird Card Office will close at 12 PM (noon) today and plan to re-open tomorrow (1/23/24) at 12:00 PM (noon). Stay safe Redbirds!

The Redbird Card Office will be closed Tuesday January 16th due to the University Closure.

Due to forecasted wind chills Tuesday, Illinois State University and the University Laboratory Schools will be closed, reopening Wednesday. All classes (in-person, hybrid, and online) are canceled Tuesday and will not be delivered remotely. Residence halls and residential dining centers will remain open. All other campus buildings will be closed.

A few notes/reminders for the start of the semester:
- We are planning to be open this weekend:
- 10 am - 2 pm both Sunday (1/14) and Monday (1/15)
- Updates to those hours can be found at http://redbirdcard.illinoisstate.edu/contact.
- If you have recently registered for Spring 2024 classes it may take a few days for your card to begin working for the Connect Transit buses.
- We will start our normal semester hours (M-F 8:30-5) on Tuesday 1/16/24.

The Redbird Card Office creates all Illinois State University student, faculty/staff, extra-help, and other miscellaneous ID cards. The Redbird Card Office receives deposits for the Redbird Account, monitors the card system, and is responsible for the accounting of the Redbird Account.

A few notes/reminders for the start of the semester:
- New Fall 2023 student's cards will activate on Monday 8/14/23. It may take a few days for the card to begin working for the Connect Transit buses.
- We will start our normal semester hours (8:30-5) on Monday 8/14/23. We will have special weekend hours on Saturday 8/19/23 from 10 AM to 4 PM and Sunday 8/20/23 from 11 AM to 3 PM.

Attention Redbirds! Did you know that your Redbird Card is award winning? Illinois State University won the award for Best Card Design at the NACCU (National Association of Campus Card Users) conference this week in Austin, TX.

We're so grateful to the other NACCU member schools that voted for our design. Special thanks to University Marketing & Communications for helping us design the card for our 2020 update to smart cards.

Our staff participated in the Homecoming Decorating Contest this year. We followed the RED brick road to Wiz Reggie of ISU.

Welcome back Redbirds! You will be seeing some familiar faces this year as well as some new ones. We welcomed two new student workers to our staff this summer, Cody & Allison. We also have a new full-time staff member who started at our office on the first day of Fall move-in, Hayley. Hayley will be at our front desk to help with ID issuance, Redbird Dollars deposits, & assist with issues or questions relating to the ID or just campus in general!
