CalmWater Financial Group® recently made a donation to Good Neighbors of Norfolk and its partner organization, the Angel Fund. Their shared mission of serving others has a meaningful and lasting impact on the Norfolk community.
After speaking with Executive Director Allene Johnson, it’s clear that her heart and passion are fully devoted to helping those in need. Her commitment shines through in the work Good Neighbors does every day.
Founded more than 50 years ago, Good Neighbors operates solely on donations and provides year-round support and emergency assistance to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. Their services include help with rent, utilities, food, diapers, and clothing. The food pantry alone serves an estimated 50 to 75 local families each week.
Good Neighbors also partners with Honey-Du-o, a free handyman service started by Chuck Foxhoven and Jim Spanel. This program supports low-income, fixed-income, and elderly residents throughout Northeast Nebraska by providing essential home repairs and services.
