I am out of the office for approximately the next 10ish days.

My 7 year old son just had this conversation with me as he was reading a list on my computer and saw his step-siblings names on it:

R: Mom, why do people need life insurance?
Me: honey life insurance isn't for the person, it's for other people. for example: It makes sure that like if I die, you have money to pay my bills, pay for my funeral, etc. That way you guys don't have to raise money to do so. There's other reasons, but that's an example.
R: so everyone has to have it?
Me: No, but they should and this is how I look at them when they don't. *showed him a face about like below*

If a 7 year old gets it, so should you. If a 7 year old is asking questions, so should you.

We are 4 days shy of her 9th birthday and we hit 1️⃣3️⃣ kids life policies.

I have literal tears in my eyes this morning. This is the most we've ever done when doing her annual birthday giveaway!

THANK YOU to those of you who chose your babies and/or your grandbabies this month!💜

In 29 days it will be 7-17, the absolute worst day of the year for me. On 7-17-17, this beautiful babe of mine entered this world and 3 hours and 44 minutes later, left the same world she just entered.

She will be 9️⃣this year!

As this day approaches, it makes zero sense to me when someone tells me they don't have life insurance on their children and aren't interested in doing so. It strikes a nerve, every time.

PSA: Grandparents-- this is also a great gift to put in place for your grandchildren.

If you gave up a $5 coffee for 5 days, this would cover that monthly premium.

I'm not saying it made this easy by any means, but it sure helped me to not have to add a financial burden onto the stress I was about to endure for the rest of my life over this situation. The average cost of a funeral is rather sickening.

And, fun fact: I wasn't an insurance agent when this happened, but you better believe my babies are over insured now.

If I get 9️⃣ children's life policies written by the end of birthday month, I'll give away a $100 gift card to one of those parents/grandparents.
