If Dreams Came True On Christmas Eve . . . I wouldn’t feel alone.

This is the lament of this Christmas themed song. The mind is a funny thing. It’s easy to feel alone when your surrounded by family and friends.

Tonight I’m in Canada trying to get better from an infection that was very aggressive and am thankful for my brother Scott and sister Lynette and of course my mom.

But I knew where my kids and grandkids were tonight and wished I was there instead of 500 miles away from them. And while I was having a good time with mom Bridget Reilly Haile and Noah my mind kept drifting back to my kiddos.

There are a couple dating sites I belong to and recently a question was posed “Ever feel alone in a setting of friends and or family?”

I’m not sure that anyone said “no”. If you have lost someone if someone you loved left if you, like me tonight, are sick and isolated maybe in a hospital bed. I understand, but more importantly God understands.

There were times when Moses felt all alone. A quick reading of the Psalms and you will soon discover the same thing.

So what helps? Well Moses saw God as his constant companion. The writers in Psalms saw God as the one to cry out to for the answer they needed. Isaiah heard God whisper in the breeze.

Think along those lines. And if your not in that position at all than be great-full for your blessings, phone or visit someone alone because the feeling of being alone is a horrible thought this time of year.

To all my friends who lost a mate and are feeling that way. My love and prayers to you.
