7 Ways to Help Your Business Survive COVID-19
COVID-19 got you down? You’re not alone.
At TeamSaff Solutions we know how hard it’s been for businesses to soldier through this
predicament, and we’re here to help any way we can. We’ve compiled a list of 7 resources and
opportunities that can help your business stay in business through the COVID-19 pandemic, and
come out stronger on the other side.
1. Federal Government Loan Programs offer an important lifeline for small businesses impacted
by COVID-19. The massive stimulus package signed into law on March 29 earmarks $350 billion
for loans to help small businesses keep workers on payroll, as well as economic relief to help
small businesses overcome temporary revenue losses. Learn more at SBA.gov.
2. Online Ordering, for delivery or pickup, is the new normal for millions of Americans, and can
keep sales flowing for a large expanse of merchants.
3. Implement a Cash Discounting Program to help slash payment processing expenses. Consumers
understand the costs merchants incur accepting card payments, and many are willing to help.
4. Contactless Payments – whether that’s tap-and-go cards or mobile-devices – are gaining a lot of
favor with consumers who want to stay safe by limiting contact with other people and devices
used by others. All the major banks now issue EMV chip cards that support contactless
payments, and the simplicity of the process is sure to spur ongoing consumer adoption.
5. Offer Gift Cards. We’re witnessing a lot of goodwill in the marketplace, including advertising
campaigns urging consumers to support their favorite local small businesses. Offer customers a
way to support your business by purchasing physical and/or digital gift cards.
6. Leverage Social Media Tools. At a minimum, you need a page that’s continuously
updated. Facebook is offering free templates that can help. (Find them here.) Send out emails
and text messages thanking customers for their business and offering special deals. Encourage
employees to promote the business with their social media contacts.
7. Take Advantage of Free Virtual Resources. Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts are just some of the
resources available for free to businesses that need to meet with clients, and/or manage
employees who are now working remotely.
At TeamSaff Solutions we don’t view our merchants as just clients – you’re our partners. We’re
committed to helping our partners manage their businesses through this difficult time, and to
come out stronger on the other side. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss specific steps
we can take together.
