SCAM ALERT:
I just got a call from one of my wonderful clients that needed to change their EFT account numbers. She said her husband got a pop up on the computer that said their computer had a virus and to call a number to have the virus infection removed. Her husband called the number and proceeded to give them their checking account information to fix it. Guess what? Their bank account was cleaned out and because they gave out the information the Bank would not cover them. I myself have gotten these pop ups and they are legitimate looking. They may look like they are from your internet provider or Microsoft. Just shut off your computer do not close out of anything. If it is a virus closing the box may actually allow it in. Restarts usually get rid of the issues. Best thing is to call a local computer repair business before clicking on anything because everyone is different.

I had a potential client call me to get a quote on Auto Insurance. On an icy road they slid into a mailbox and damaged the mailbox. They went up to the homeowner of the mailbox and nobody answered so they were not sure what to do, and they left. Someone had gotten their license number and called the police and received a "leaving the scene of an accident ticket, which is a major violation. Moral of the story. If you have an accident always call the police and get an accident report filled out no matter how little the damage. This also assures that stories of what happen do not change, if another party involved.
