Insulin users on Medicare, this one’s for you! Did you know that the cost sharing amount of insulins covered on a Medicare Prescription Part D drug plan has been capped at $35 for a 30 day supply? Keep in mind, the prescribed insulin must be on the plans formulary and if it is not, the plan is not required to add it. Having said that, most Medicare prescription drug plans are required to cover at least one insulin from the various types.
