Today we celebrated Mrs. Tonya’s retirement🥳 We are going to miss her so much in the Newton Branch. I only got to work with Mrs. Tonya for a year but oh I don’t know what I would’ve done without all of her help. Thank you very much for all that you have done! We are going to miss you so much🥰

My name is Emily Brewster, and I am a Loan Officer for First South Farm Credit, serving Ridgeland, MS, Newton, MS, and the surrounding counties. I’m from Enterprise, Mississippi, where I developed a strong appreciation for agriculture, rural living, and the importance of land ownership in our communities.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Finance from Mississippi State University and am currently enrolled at LSU–Shreveport working toward my MBA in Accounting. During my senior year at Mississippi State, I interned with First South Farm Credit, where I quickly realized how aligned I was with their mission and values. I began with the company as a Credit Analyst in October 2023 and was honored to step into the role of Loan Officer in August 2025.

I’m passionate about supporting farmers, land buyers, and new customers who may feel overwhelmed or unfamiliar with the financing process. Whether you’re expanding an operation, purchasing land, or just getting started, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
