The Orell Farley Foundation Announces 2026 Grant Recipients!
The Orell Farley Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 grants! On August 27, eight Jasper County organizations were presented with a total of $36,918.74 in grant funding during an awards presentation at The Peoples State Bank in Newton.
Congratulations to this yearβs grant recipients:
Jasper County Boys & Girls Park, Inc. β $7,000
To aid in remodeling the Junior Diamond backstop and replacing fencing.
JCCU #1 Choral & Theater Department β $10,000
To purchase a new theater projection system.
St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School β $12,288
To purchase 45 ASUS Chromebooks for 5thβ8th grade students.
Jasper County CEO β $3,293.04
To assist with expenses for the 2026β27 school year, including a year-end event for students.
Saved by Grace Animal Rescue β $500
To support the 2026 Spay and Neuter Community Project.
JCCU #1 R.E.A.D. Program / Ginger Robins β $2,000
To purchase books and maintain the quality and variety of reading options available to students.
Jasper County Farm Bureau Foundation β $838.70
To purchase three incubators and a large grow light for use by the Ag in the Classroom Coordinator.
JCCU #1 Newton Elementary / Dawn Meinhart, Strong Girls & B.O.Y.S. Coordinator β $999
To purchase T-shirts and lesson materials for participants.
The Orell Farley Foundation was initially funded in 2018 and was established to benefit qualified organizations in Jasper County whose projects enhance public health, safety, recreation, and education for the use and enjoyment of the general public.
We are grateful for Mrs. Farleyβs generosity and the lasting impact her vision continues to have throughout Jasper County. οΈ
