The Counting Carver, LLC

The Counting Carver, LLC A female-owned bookkeeping business actively taking clients. Your business shouldn't run your life, you should run your business. My name is Amber Drake.

I am here to help busy business owners create more time for their family and business obligations. I'm a twenty-five-year-old mother of one. After my daughter was born, I realized how much of my life was WASTED at work. So I took a leap of faith, quit my manufacturing job, started working towards my QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification, and started my own bookkeeping business, The Counting C

arver, LLC. Becoming my own boss gives me freedom and still allows me to help small businesses in big ways. With a young toddler in the house, I completely understand the importance of time and money management. I will do all that I can to automate my services to save you precious time for your family or other business obligations. How many hours a month could my services save you? How much stress could you avoid? Imagine your confidence in your business when everything is ready for tax season, you visually see where your money is going, and we talk through options of how to save money. Plus, when you hire me as your bookkeeper, we will be helping one another grow our small businesses, and I find that so exciting! I will happily carve out your books for you while you focus on growing your business and/or tending to your family. Thank you for your time. I am looking forward to growing our businesses together. What are you waiting for?! Book a free discovery call with me today, and let me help you get back to what's really important! Proudly serving Ohio’s small business community! Follow me on Twitter and Instagram, where I will be sharing about my life as a full-time mom and entrepreneurial bookkeeper. You can also check out my Google business page here:

Posted with my personal page on Newton Falls Friends and Family as well...

I have been thinking about this quite a bit over the last few weeks... Do we have a community garden here in Newton Falls? If so, how can I get involved? If not, would anyone be interested in helping me start one? I am not sure who I would speak to to get the ball rolling yet, but I am more than willing to be the one to do so.
I would love to be a part of something that could create a community between all of us trying to grow food for our families. Plus, it's a great opportunity for anyone who doesn't have ample space to support a full garden at home. We could even do annual seed swaps with everyone in our local community.
Heart react if you would like to participate in a community garden.
Comment below if you know who to contact about starting one (if we don't have one yet).
And feel free to tag anyone you think may have some insight or want to participate.
Thanks in advance!!!!

This weekend, I have plans to work on some home projects and finish up some chores. First on my list is to get a bookshelf set up in my office. Next is to get a storage chest for the kitchen so that I can organize all my teas and related items. I will also be visiting the local library to pick out a few new books. If weather permits, Greg and I will also be taking my daughter and the pups to the park to run off some energy on Saturday.
What are your plans this weekend? Comment below.

Women In Business Wednesday:

Margaret Rudkin (1897-1967)
Margaret and her husband, Henry, founded Pepperidge Farm after she began making stone-ground wheat for her son in the 1920s. Due to his food allergies and asthma, he was unable to eat traditionally prepared and preserved foods. His doctor soon prescribed her bread to other patients of his. By 1939 she had sold approximately 1 million loaves of bread. In 1947 she opened a commercial plant moving her business out of the family garage. It was here that she could expand her horizons, adding cookies to the business's inventory in the 1950s. She sold Pepperidge Farm to Campbell Soup for $28 million dollars in 1961 (approx. $266 million today). She became the 1st woman on Campbell’s board of directors before she passed of breast cancer in 1967.

My favorite way to unwind at the end of the night is to curl up in bed and read a good book. There is something so relaxing about the movie that plays in my head as I get lost in the pages of a captivating story!

Happy World Book Day, everyone!
Over the last few days, I have been reading a wonderful book by James Patterson and J.D. Barker called The Coast to Coast Murders. It’s a psychological suspense story that has captivated me from page one. I am only about half way through it, but so far it is a book I would highly recommend.
