On Wednesday, March 19th, 2025, ALDONYS presented Mrs. Stephanie Diller with a $10,000 check in memory of her late husband, NYPD Det. Jonathan Diller. On March 25, 2024, Det. Diller was shot while conducting a traffic stop in Far Rockaway, Queens. He was subsequently transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he died due to his injuries. ALDONYS held a Gala in November of 2024 and honored Det Diller and Retired Buffalo Sgt, Aaron Salter.

The special presentation took place in Wantagh, NY where ALDONYS Chairman, Matthew Spaier and ALDONYS Secretary, Jeremy Skehan, presented the check to Mrs. Diller and her son, Ryan .

Since the shooting last year, many in the New York City area have pitched in to provide for Stephanie and Ryan. She was also recently recognized at the State of the Union Address by President Trump in Washington, DC. Mrs. Diller was extremely grateful to ALDONYS for honoring her late husband and for providing the assistance for Ryan who is now 2 years old. She continues to work as a Nurse in Long Island and takes pride in assisting people who have had traumatic injuries. We want to thank our members and sponsors of the Gala who stepped up to participate and make the night unforgettable.

On Thursday, March 13, 2025, ALDONYS presented Mrs. Kimberly Salter with a $10,000 check in memory of her husband, security guard and retired Buffalo Police Officer Aaron Salter. Lt. Salter was killed in the line of duty while bravely confronting a gunman inside Tops Friendly Markets in Buffalo, NY.

The presentation took place at 11:00 a.m. at the Lockport, NY Town Hall. I was joined by ALDONYS members Jeff Rinaldo, James Meuhlbauer, and Ken Bambach in presenting the check on behalf of our organization. Also in attendance were representatives from the offices of U.S. Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, N.Y.S. Senator Robert G. Ortt, and Assemblyman Paul Bologna.

Following the presentation, representatives from Congresswoman Tenney’s office, Senator Ortt’s office, and Assemblyman Bologna’s office issued proclamations honoring Mr. Salter. We were also honored to have the Town of Lockport Supervisor present, who graciously allowed us to use the facility for the event.

Mrs. Salter expressed her deep gratitude for the support she has received from ALDONYS. On behalf of our organization, I assured her that both she and her husband, Aaron, will always be part of the ALDONYS family.
